The reNEW Node in Leiden is seeking for a project manager in the team of multidisciplinary researchers working on development of stem cell models of human disease. Do you hold a PhD degree in biology, medical biology, biomedical sciences, or equivalent? Are you well organized and service oriented, a team player and keen to work in a highly interdisciplinary and intercultural team? Then we would like to meet you!

About your role
As project manager, you help ensure efficient performance of activities by the project partners, overall synergy and reporting according to the project workplan, and consortium agreement. You will be responsible for: organizing and preparing project meetings to monitor progress; coordinating project planning; monitoring the budget spent and remaining budget. Additionally, you will support effective dissemination of the results to stakeholders and promote further uptake of the results, valorization and educational activities. The main tasks are: keeping projects and budget on track; consortium management; writing and keeping track of progress reports and progress meetings; helping with stakeholder management (patient organizations, biotech); making notes for the more in-depth meetings; making a newsletter, writing text for blogs, making a schedule for theme and sub-theme meetings online and live; managing social media channels and websites; arranging speaker visits.

About your workplace
The position funded by the reNEW grant will offer the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team of researchers of the reNEW Node in Leiden. The project aims to advance modelling disease using stem cells to understand pathogenetic mechanism, validate novel causative genes and screen for lead compounds for the development of novel therapies. As project manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the project and supporting Prof. Christine Mummery.
