Endometriosis is a disease where tissue similar to the uterus lining grows outside it, causing severe pain and infertility. It affects 1 in 10 women of reproductive age, and current therapies only manage symptoms rather than the underlying disease. We aim to change that. By identifying the unique cellular “fingerprints” of these rogue lesions, our targeted therapy delivers drugs directly to diseased tissue while sparing healthy organs – paving the way for the first true cure.
reNEW research
We grow 3D “mini-organs” (organoids) from patient tissue to recreate endometriosis outside the body. We map differences between healthy and diseased cells to reveal hidden disease markers. Identifying these unique molecular markers allows us to design targeted systems that deliver drugs directly into the lesions – bringing us one step closer towards eliminating this devastating disease that affects millions of women worldwide.
